First Glimpse Letter From ... MSC and Aker Yards France's Newest Productions MSC Poesia, slated for debut in April 2008, is a sister ship to MSC Musica and MSC Orchestra. The trio of ships marked MSC's entry into big-ship cruising (though it will be exceeded in size just a year or two after its debut by later new-builds such as the 133,500-ton, 3,3300-passenger MSC Fantasia and MSC Splendida. While its design scheme is currently unannounced, expect MSC Poesia to share similar Musica features, such as: A central foyer with three-deck-high waterfall -- and a piano, suspended via a transparent crystal floor, above a pool of water. A 13,000-square-ft. spa, which includes chromotherapeutic hydro massage and a Turkish bath along with the usual features. We're intrigued by the Well-Being and Fitness Center Bar. A variety of entertainment venues including a three-deck theater, secondary show lounge and disco. Dining options include the Garden Restaurant, a sushi bar, and a self-service pizza and grill cafe. The ship will also have two swimming pools, a wading pool for kids, shops, a card room, a sports court for tennis and volleyball, a library, an art gallery, a cinema, a cigar bar, and a huge casino. Stay tuned for more information as we receive further updates.
