Above our expectations! by
Deborah C from North Augusta, SC Sailing date: Sep 2009Pros: The enteratinment was very good, the employees from our stateroom attendant to our darling waiters were all so very friendly and went out of their way to please us. Cons: I can not think of anything that was negative about this cruise. The ship in total was clean, they were very organized and the food was great. Well there is one thing we thought the price of the cocktails were high. My first impression of the ship was its decor. I thought it to be busy and un-inviting. But later over the ship's TV channel , found out why the decor was that way and felt it fit the ship from then on. The ship was clean, from the bartenders to wait staff to stateroom to cruise director all was very organized. We had a couple of small problems and the customers did not feel any effect from the problems. The embarkation and disembarkation went very smoothly. The food in all areas, buffet, small cafe, the dining rooms, all were above average GOOD! The desserts were to die for!! There were alot of pictures taken which was good since it was the two of us and it is very difficult to get a picture of us together. And you did not have to buy any you did not want. They took high care of germs, having hand wash stations throughout the ship and especially coming back on board. They were very accomodating in every respect. Ship Quality

  Caribbean cruise by
Michael J from Las Vegas Sailing date: May 2009Pros: supper club Cons: Don't like the constant upsale on cruises We don't usually go on cruises so take my comments for what they are. We prefer to longer at locations and enjoy the people, their culture and food. We needed a place to stay for a week so this cruise worked out perfectly. We thought the staff on the ship was excellent, all of them were very nice and accommodating. The food in general was just OK but keep in mind that we live in Las Vegas so our perspective is not always the same as others might be. We did very much enjoy the supper club we thought it well worth the additional fee.
We thought it was silly to miss our stop in Mexico. The port was several hundred miles from any flu outbreak in Mexico city. Yet we stopped in Belize a very short distance away neither port has any problems with the flu. We did enjoy the sting rays in the Caymans, and the zoo in Belize. We would have gone for a scuba dive but felt the ships prices were way out of line. We were not terribly excited about Honduras.
In general the entertainment on board was good. Most of it was based around comedy acts. However, the best production was the second night when the ships dancers put on a show. This was probably a cost cutting measure that maybe necessary for the cruise line to stay in business.
Overall we enjoyed the cruise. It wasn't the trip of a life time for us but then again we travel to some incredible locations. Ship Quality
Dining/FoodWe loved having an open dining time where we could go to the dining room when we wanted to. We also enjoy dining with different people every night. We've always hated being on schedule on vacation. As I said we loved the supper club. Stateroom Quality

Entertainment & Activities
Children's ProgramsIt must have been good. We prefer adult vacations. There were 400 children on board. We never had a problem with rowdy children.

Belize City, BelizeWe went to the zoo. It's a small but very interesting zoo. Well worth doing.
George Town, Grand CaymanBooked the tour for sting rays and snorkeling once we got to the port. We paid much less than those who booked on the ship, but as it turned out we should have bargained with them. Everyone else paid less that we did.
Roatan (Isla Roatan), Bay Islands, HondurasWe were not very impressed with Roatan. We took some time to walk around and shop then went back to the ship and enjoyed some time at the pool.

The CARNIVAL LEGEND 5 STAR by
M.H. from TX Sailing date: Apr 2008Pros: The creative design of the ship and the interior furnishings were exquisite. Very well appointed. You could tell millions of dollars were spent to make this ship 5 star. Cons: This is the first time I am speechless. Everything was perfect on the ship. The atmosphere was fantastic. The food choices were outstanding. The activities were superb. Oh, did I not tell you that the rooms are HUGE. Well, they are. The added special touches made you know you picked the right cruise line. The CARNIVAL LEGEND is in a class of it's own. Marble and leather everywhere you turned.
5 STAR plus 1 (6 STAR)
Everyone should have an opportunity to enjoy such a wonderful ship. This was my best cruise yet. I have traveled on 5 other cruise lines and thus far, Carnival's new ships are out in front at sea.
Ship Quality
Dining/Food
Stateroom QualityOUTSTANDING!!! The room was huge. Extra closet space. Wine glasses in the room
A leather sofa in addition to the table and chair. A long credenza. Best of all, everything is done in marble. High class baby! Ship Staff Quality

  VERY satisfied with cruise! by
A Traveler from Warner Robins,Ga Sailing date: Apr 2008Pros: The entertainment, kids programs, the food, service, clean rooms, clean ship! Cons: The pools were a little small. But, what would you expect on a cruise ship? This was our very first cruise and it was excellent! It was worth every penny we spent. The buffet and food was great. There one or two dishes that wasnt very good, but the rest was GREAT! The pools were small and crowded, but there are hundreds of other fun things to do on the ship. We didnt go swimming and we found a lot of other things to do. We were never bored. Our kids loved the kids programs. I ports of call were great. The service was great. The waiters and room stewards were very friendly. The ship was clean and well kept. The entertainment was great. They had the best shows. The hyptnotist show was very funny. The room was very clean. We loved the little towel animals that were folded by the room steward. Ship QualityIt was clean and well kept. The staff cleaned it often and kept it organized and clean. Dining/FoodThe food overall was great. There were only some things that wasnt good. Most of it was great. Stateroom QualityThe room was bigger than most other ships. It was clean and comfy. Even though it was kind of tight compared to a regular room, it didnt feel tight. It was still comfortable. Ship Staff QualityThey were friendly. They tried hard to keep us happy. The room steward did a good job with keeping our room clean. Entertainment & ActivitiesSome of the shows were really good and others werent that good. Some of the comics werent funny. There were many activities to do onboard. Children's ProgramsThe kids program offered many fun activities. 2 out of 3 people found this review helpful.

  Fabulous Cruise by
Christine B. from New Hampshire Sailing date: May 2008Pros: There is not one specific thing---loved the balconied room, the immaculate-cleanliness of the ship--Satchmo's nightclub for dancing Cons: I can't think of anything. Overall the ship was immaculate, the food was excellent, the bar staff were cordial and drinks were very well made. Service was excellent. Ship Quality Size was perfect, cleanliness was unprecedented. Excellent! Dining/Food The quality of the food was excellent--the service was impeccable and when ordering drinks in the dining room they came in a timely manner. Dining times--we ate late seating was excellent. Stateroom Quality the room also was excellent---I did miss the simple things like conditioner, lotion--which I know are minor but they do add to the ambiance of the room--otherwise it was very comfortable, immaculate and of course we loved the balconied room. Ship Staff Quality I think they were very friendly and willing to please. Entertainment & Activities I think the quality was just good---I have seen better.

A Traveler from Boston, MA. Sailing date: Jul 2007Pros: The food Cons: the service I was very upset with the service on this ship. We had a suite and it was poorly managed. The clsoet lights did not work the hot tub was broken. The room steward was hardly visible until the last day of the cruise and I am sure that was for an additional tip. Ship Quality
Dining/Food
Stateroom QualityThe suite was not in the best shape the wood floors were dirty and the bathtub was not in 100% working order Ship Staff QualityHad a terrible experianace with the photo staff they were very rude and were not helpful when it came to locating certain pictures that they took of us.

  Great Time! by
A Traveler from Boston, ma Sailing date: Feb 2007Pros: Adult pool area, shows, friendly staff, clean rooms and clean ship Cons: not enough hours in a day to do everything A group of 4 girls recently sailed on the Legend, we were impressed with the overall cleaniess of the boat, the effectiveness of the staff, the meals were great (we never did try the specialty resturant) breakfast buffet on Lido deck was awesome, had a facial, was great (wait till the end, mark downs :)) a friend did do the massage and exfoilating and she enjoyed that very much as well! The shows were great, all of them!!! really enjoyed the frank show, and the talent show at the end was so much fun!!!!! Ship QualityLayout was good, remember to pick up a map early on, by day 2 you should know your way around well! Dining/FoodBe daring, try more!!! Stateroom QualityWe had an obstructed view room with french doors that do open...was nice!!! Only 1 outlet in the rooms, remember a power strip! Ship Staff QualityDid have a small issue with photo staff not being up to date on all policies...If you purchase photos, you can write to carnival and get a release form to make additional copies once you return...they knew nothing about this! It worked, i already made additional photos at walmart! Entertainment & ActivitiesHuge improvement over my last cruise, outfits were beautiful, themes were fun, everything about the shows were great!
