Snowmass
Where to ski or ride? Your only dilemma at Snowmass is how to do it all. With more than 3,100 acres of varying terrain, Snowmass is huge. From cruisers and steeps to moguls and terrain parks, this is a family paradise. Finding a bite to eat or a bar stool isn't difficult either, not with the 35 restaurants and bars in the slopeside Snowmass Village Mall.

Buttermilk
For many years, Buttermilk was the least publicized of Aspen's mountains, but it's long been number one in the hearts of families. And thanks to its role as host of ESPN's Winter X Games, Buttermilk is no longer known as just a great learning playground. Alongside perfectly groomed slopes are three terrain parks with over 40 hits and jumps, enough to keep the X Games here until 2007.

Breckenridge is a bona fide Western ski town, with roots dating to 1859 and 350 historic structures. And with more than 100 restaurants, 250 shops, and 30 bars and clubs, it's anything but sleepy.
